MZZ Care is proud to launch a Mentoring programme for young people and befriending service for the elderly.
The reason for the campaign is because we want to work with disaffected Muslim youth in London that need support and guidance for developing a decent future for themselves with the support of trained and qualified skilled mentors. We have a mentoring programme that will consist of twelve weeks of working with Muslim youths and help them with relationship issues, gambling issues, staying safe online, drug and substance misuse education and employment opportunities.
This crowdfunding campaign is required to generate funds to train and upskill staff mentors and for the recruitment and administration. This includes the resources required for creating the programme literature.
A key component of our programme is assisting the elderly who are suffering from dementia as a mental health issue and therefore by creating a model of support that only qualified and trained befrienders can provide, we aim to stop loneliness boredom depression and sickness.
The areas we would like to expand to is working alongside younger disabled Muslim children to provide them with an opportunity to play and interact with others outdoors in their local community.
All funds raised will go towards the cost of training qualifying and recruiting staff and administration costs.
