Kashmir, Pakistan

As winter conditions roll into the highlands of Pakistan, donations are needed now, more than ever.

More than 1.1 million people were affected in last winter by heavy snowfall, torrential rain, avalanches, and landslides that were sweeping across Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. Unfortunately, during emergencies and disasters like this, the most vulnerable in society are affected the most.

Many people have chosen to endure the harsh winter in their home areas despite having only basic house structures and a shortage of winter supplies. Although the much-anticipated deep snows have not yet arrived in the highlands of Pakistan especially the underprivileged valley of Kashmir, the temperature at night has already begun to drop below freezing. Many families in this region are in need of blankets and necessary winter supplies. These families include widows, orphans & physically challenged people.

With your support, FRDP can help protect women, children, the elderly, and the disabled from the cold, through winter clothing kits, blankets, cash to heat their houses and buy essential items, and providing medical supplies. Our priority is to reach the most vulnerable and poorest families, and those living in hard to reach areas. However, funds are needed now, before the cold sets in and puts at risk thousands of vulnerable people.

Winter clothing kits
(Jackets, Gloves, Hats, Shoes, Socks, Blankets) £30

Food Packs
(Rice, Flour, Sugar, Tea, Lentils, Cooking Oil) £50

FRDP will also provide families most at risk with cash assistance and vouchers to address the most urgent needs for their children.
