MISS (Majlis Indonesian Sisters Sydney) is a not for profit organisation (charity) based in Sydney, Australia whose aim is two fold. Education of its members in the Islamic sciences and humanitarian aid in Indonesia and other countries. Our current project is the digging of a water well to provide drinking water to an impoverished community of about 50 families in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia.
Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet said, “A drink of water.”
