Ziaia Welfare has been helping the poor and needy in a remote part of Kashmir providing basic necessities on a regular basis to those who suffered from the earthquake.
We are a registered charity and have numerous ongoing projects ranging from medical aid, food distribution, orphan sponsorship and educational projects. You can see more information on our website
Over the past two years, our fundraising efforts have been severely impacted by the Coronavirus Crisis and as a result, thousands of people who are in receipt of our ongoing aid distribution are suffering.
We are appealing for your Zakat and Sadaqah donations to assist the extremely poor people in a rural region of Kashmir which is hours away from any cities.
Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam and is obligated amongst all Muslims. It has been paired with such a high sense of righteousness that it is often placed on the same level of importance as offering Salah. Zakat is the giving of a small percentage (2.5%) of a person’s possessions (surplus wealth) to poor and needy Muslims. Zakat can only be given to one of the following types of person; people living in poverty and who have nothing, people who do not have enough to meet their basic needs in life, people who are needy and wish to enter Islam, those who are unable to pay off their debts and those who work to give Dawah.
For the past eight years, Ziaia Welfare has been distributing your donations in the form of money, food, water, and medical supplies.
Ziaia Welfare aims to work in removing short-term difficulties and is committed to working on long-term solutions. Please continue supporting Ziaia Welfare in all our projects in the future.
