The project is a support to the Benkadi association of women of Sabalibougou, in commune IV of the District of Bamako. It aims to develop income-generating activities for the women of this association through soap making, strengthening their management capacities and their education in democratic governance.
The objective of this project is to alleviate the growing financial, economic and social difficulties they experience on a daily basis, through the establishment of a framework of mutual aid, solidarity, material and financial support.
The present project requested by this association of Benkadi de Sabalibougou was supported by the town hall of the commune given the commitment of the members of this association in the execution of this activity.
The association has been carrying out soap making activities of several models, liquid soap, bleach for years but lacks modern equipment as well as some raw materials for the promotion of their products. It should also be noted that there is a significant need for training in community life and business management.
Faced with such involvement, the organization International Solidarity for Africa (ISA), whose vocation is to support women’s associations, held numerous meetings with the Benkadi association and noted that the members of this association are all mothers with 6 average children per woman. They are the only ones to pay school fees for their children, take care of health costs and several of them are victims of domestic violence.
Women will provide soap to the financial donors
